hey I'm Katie
I'm the kinda girl that never meets a stranger— a wife, mama, and wedding photographer primarily working with couples to shoot their most special days! You can find me in Gulf Shores, Fairhope, Pensacola, Mobile, and around the Eastern Shore regularly— but I travel for weddings allllll the time and love to meet couples in beautiful places!
We have a little boy named Shiloh, and another baby due in June 2024! We travel together as a family as much as we can and love experiencing new cultures & wild landscapes. Our lives are centered around our faith in Jesus, and I believe everyone deserves to feel loved!
I'm a 3w4, sentimental to a fault, wanna-be-homemaker and I will probably cry with you at your ceremony. This job is perfect for me because showing people the beauty within them and drawing out their true selves is something I am SO passionate about.
The reason I'm obsessed with my job is because I personally LOVE documenting my own life and get so weepy & nostalgic looking back through memories (from before I was alive through my parents' life til now). I think it's so important to take the dang photos because one day you'll wish you had. There's no turning back time. <3
MY WHY
I love working with people who want realistic photos that embody our time together— wind-blown hair and all. Those that aren’t worried about their dress getting a little dirty, ready to embrace whatever life throws at us! People who are really in love and just want that documented— I thrive off your energy! If you want perfectly polished photos, we may not be the best fit. But if you're looking for a photographer to collaborate with you in creating photos that tell a story, I'd love to work with you!

MY APPROACH
I'm equally passionate about aesthetics, styling, & beautiful details as I am "the vibe," making sure it feels right in the moment, making sure you're comfortable! I will never ever interrupt an important moment for the sake of making it a slightly better photograph. The real life stuff is #1 in my book— making sure you're having a good freaking time with me and in front of my camera, making sure you're calm and have everything you need on your wedding day. But I am also SUCH a sucker for a beautifully styled tablescape, thoughtful details, a stunning dress, or helping you pick outfits for your session!
I will pose you (don't worry!) but I take a very candid approach to posing and love to step back whenever it's natural and allow you guys to be yourselves— that's how most of the candids you see on my page happen. But I promise I'll give you help. :)

Anyone can grab a nice camera and make something look nice, but it’s very rare to find someone like Katie. Not only does she have the eye to capture the most breathtaking candid moments, she has a way of making everyone involved feel 100% comfortable while doing it.

I could not recommend Katie enough! We asked her to take our engagement photos because we were in love with her style and the emotion she was able to capture. We were nervous, but it was SO much fun and when we got our gallery back, our jaws were on the floor!! Of course we asked her to photograph our wedding, and she did an amazing job!!! We also hired her to meet us on our honeymoon in Iceland! And when I say these photos look like a different planet... they have to be my favorite photos EVER. She's the only one we want to photograph us– she's so friendly & personable and I'd book her for anything.
Katie is a truly remarkable photographer who is able to not only capture those sweet in-between moments, but also make you feel comfortable enough to be yourself in front of the camera. I love that she is down for an adventure!! We had our elopement shoot on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon at sunset!! Wherever you get married - she will hike or bike to get to a stunning location. My husband doesn't love photos but she made us both feel so comfortable and relaxed so our true personalities shined through. Book her!! I can't say enough great things about Katie! I actually found her on Instagram and knew immediately she was "the one". IT WAS PERFECT. Honestly, I never felt like we were even taking pictures. She made us feel like we were just hanging out on the beach which is uncommon because my fiance hates photos and getting his picture taken. My family even commented that they've never seen him look so relaxed or comfortable! I loved every photo she took so much that I hired her to travel out for my wedding! If you have any hesitations, I'm telling you that hiring Katie is the best decision you can make if you want quality and natural photos!
I wish there were more stars to give to Katie! I can’t recommend her enough! She truly made our day amazing. My husband and I were super nervous about our engagements because we had never had our photos taken professionally. Katie made us so comfortable. It was like hanging out with a close friend! Most of the time we forgot we were even taking photos. She captures the feeling not just the moment. Katie is incredibly creative and works any details or special things into her photos seamlessly.
